Workshop 2 - Residential Design Quality

Summary
A review of draft and official guidance by CABE and other agencies. It will consider how well toolkits, such as Building for Life, tie in with national and local policies, with a specific focus on streets and the public realm.
The BfL standard will be explored as a tool for appraising the quality of development and a means of developing a project brief. Delegates will use case studies to determine the character of areas for the urban plan and which housing types suit which areas.
