Michael Rushe is a director and co-founder of Ice Architects Ltd, and has wide experience of housing and community regeneration projects. As an architect he has led design teams in both public and private sectors and has completed projects in a number of European countries including the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands and Hungary.
Completed projects include housing and environmental projects in Stoke –on-Trent, Embassy refurbishments for the Dutch and French Embassies in London, ING Bank in Budapest, The Woodside Estate Regeneration in Telford, The Crawford Art Gallery in Cork, and MIMA the new public art gallery in Middlesbrough.
Michael is a registered architect with a particular interest in housing, master planning and in engaging with public and community groups in the discussion of design and environmental issues. Recent enabling projects in the TSY sub-region have included working with a community group in Sheffield, a local authority in Rotherham and the South Yorkshire Police. Michael has worked with CABE on the implementation of Building for Life, and is a member of the BRE Community Sustainable Energy Programme.
