Summary of experience that Lynn Kinnear can bring to the project

Lynn Kinnear has over 25 years experience as a Landscape Architect. She runs a practice that specialises in high quality design and is personally involved in all the work that the practice does.

This extends to very detailed involvement. Lynn Kinnear has many years of experience of undertaking this type of project from her work in Scotland on Lanarkshires contaminated steel works sites to designs for Broadoak Sand and Gravel Golf Course in Northumberland to large scale planning work in the Royal Docks and her extensive parks experience.

She therefore has a wide range of experiences which she can draw on to advise the client. The client will gain huge added value because of this experience.

KLA are recognised by CABE space as leaders in our field. They use our projects to illustrate their publications on best practice Cabes 'Community Clients quide' uses one of our projects Normand Park in Sheffield as an example of good practice. CABE space were instrumental in our appointment to the Cookson Park Project in Sheffield, because of the experience we had gained in designing and building Goresbrook Park which was part of the A13 Artscape Project in Barking and Dagenham.

We have many years experience of public consultation. For example, we were chosen out of a long list of hundreds to work on the Architecture Foundation's Road Show project in Tower Hamlets.

We were given one of the most physically and politically complex sites on Whitechapel High Street to design using a strong experimental public consutlation bias to the project.

The Arts Council use our arts based projects as Good Practice Guidance for community based arts in public spaces. Their new publication 'Visual Arts: Evidence of Impact' has been published with Daubeney School highlighted within it and on the front cover.

Richard Rogers the government's advisor on urban spaces asked us specifically to work on his first DFES secondary school in Hackney, Mossbourne Academy because of our extensive experience in designing play environments and experience of including communities without losing design integrity.

Our projects are widely published both here and abroad. Our projects also often attract design awards. This will give the client a raised profile as a result of our work.

Lynn Kinnear has a track record of being committed to design excellence within a framework of inclusive consultation and through interesting collaborations with artists and other design team professionals. She is recognised as an expert in her field.
