To celebrate the great design work across South Yorkshire, Transform South Yorkshire has created the Design Awards Scheme. The awards have been designed to showcase a variety of different organisations and practitioners across the Housing Market Renewal area and recognise the success in housing design within the South Yorkshire region.
The awards comprise five different categories:
- Completed Housing Project
- Housing Project in the Pipeline
- Developer Operating in the Transform South Yorkshire Area
- Public Sector Practitioner Making an Outstanding Individual Contribution to Design Quality in the Transform South Yorkshire Area
- Environmental Improvement Project

Delivering Sustainable Events
DDQ aim to deliver sustainable events, where possible by:
- Communicating via electronic means
- Encouraging and providing information on sustainable transport options
- Ensuring organic, locally sourced and Fair Trade produce are used, where possible
- Ensuring all crockery and cutlery is reusable
- Ensuring numbers for the event are as accurate as possible in order to minimise waste on both catering and paper resources
- Encouraging and promoting the reduce, reuse and recycle mantra
